DMCA & Copyright Policy

If something on ShipX uses your work without permission, tell us and we’ll review it. This page explains what we need from you and what happens next.

Last updated October 2026

ShipX lists products that makers submit themselves. We don’t review every listing before it goes live, so we rely on copyright owners to tell us when something is wrong. We respond to clear notices of alleged infringement, following the notice-and-takedown process in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and its Intermediary Guidelines.

01What you can report

Anything hosted on ShipX: product listings and their logos, screenshots, images, videos and descriptions, comments, maker profiles and sponsored placements. The most common case is a product launched with someone else’s logo, screenshots or copy.

We can only act on what’s on ShipX. If the infringing material is on the product’s own website, contact that site or its host as well.

02What a valid notice must contain

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
  2. The copyrighted work you say is infringed, and a link to it where possible.
  3. The ShipX URL of the material you want removed, precise enough for us to find it.
  4. Your contact details: name and email address (a postal address and phone number help).
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

03Where to send it

The fastest way is the copyright report form, which asks for everything above. You can also email a notice to our designated agent at suhail@shipx.live.

  • Postal address: Hyderabad, India

04What we do with it

  1. We confirm we’ve received your notice by email.
  2. We check it’s complete and identify the content on ShipX. If something’s missing, we’ll ask; a notice we can’t act on is declined.
  3. If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material, usually by hiding the listing or comment.
  4. We tell the person who posted it, with the details of your complaint, and explain how to send a counter-notice.
  5. Unless a counter-notice arrives, the material stays down. We keep a record of every notice and outcome.

05Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice. Makers can do it from the link in the removal notice, or by email to suhail@shipx.live. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared on ShipX.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, postal address and phone number.
  5. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, outside the U.S., any judicial district where ShipX may be found), and that you’ll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We send a copy of a valid counter-notice to the person who complained. If they don’t tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they’ve started court proceedings, we may restore the material.

06Repeat infringers

We keep a record of valid notices against each account. In appropriate circumstances we remove the launches and terminate the accounts of makers who repeatedly infringe, normally after a third upheld complaint.

07False or abusive notices

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages. We may decline notices that look abusive, such as attempts to take down a competitor’s honest listing.

08Our role

Products, comments and profiles on ShipX are submitted by their makers and users, who are responsible for having the rights to them. ShipX acts as an intermediary for that content and isn’t responsible for it beyond what intermediary and safe-harbour laws require of us, including acting on valid notices like these.

09Trademarks and other concerns

This process covers copyright. For trademark misuse, impersonation or anything else, email suhail@shipx.live or see Contact. We review those case by case.
