Launch guide
How to launch without an audience
A short, practical checklist. None of it requires followers.
Before launch week
- Write a tagline a stranger understands. “Voice notes that turn into searchable docs” beats “The future of thinking.” Describe what it does, not how it feels.
- Use a clear square logo. It appears at 34–88px. Simple shapes and high contrast read best.
- Add two or three real screenshots. Show the product doing its main job. The first image is the cover.
- Fill in problem, solution, and who it’s for. Complete listings rank a little better and convert a lot better.
- Pick a week with room. Earlier in the week gives you more time; later gets a small freshness boost. Either is fine.
On launch day
- Share your ShipX page with the people you built it for — a community, a forum, your newsletter, friends who’d genuinely use it.
- Reply to every comment. A thoughtful conversation helps visitors understand your product.
- Support a few other launches you genuinely like. You’re all in the same boat this week.
- Never buy or trade supports. It’s against the rules and it’s detected.
After the week
- Check your analytics: which sources brought visitors who clicked through to your site?
- Keep your listing up to date — it stays live and indexable after your week ends.
- Ship the next thing. Streaks on ShipX count products shipped, not days logged in.
