About Umlaut Letters
Umlaut Letters is an independent utility studio founded in 2026 in Karachi, Pakistan by Hetal Jani. Its free, no-signup web utility lets users copy and type German umlaut letters (Ä, Ö, Ü, ß) with one click, including Alt codes, Unicode values, HTML entities, and typing shortcuts for Windows, Mac, and mobile.
Why Umlaut Letters
01 · The problem
Keyboards without a German layout make it hard to enter ä, ö, ü, and their uppercase forms, and users often aren't sure which codes or fallback spellings are correct.
02 · The solution
The site offers one-click copy buttons, a German on-screen keyboard, platform-specific typing shortcuts, and a reference of Unicode, Alt, and HTML codes for each umlaut letter.
03 · What makes it different
It combines a copy tool with plain-language guidance on typing methods, code formats, and the ae/oe/ue fallback rules, all in one page rather than scattered support articles.
Who it’s for
People writing in German or handling German names who need umlaut characters on a keyboard that lacks them.
